Nathaniel Mellors
London and Amsterdam-based artist and musician Nathaniel Mellors (b. 1974, Doncaster, England) is known for making films and installations that deal with the vicissitudes of language through absurdist scripts, psychedelic theatre, film, video, performance, collage, and sculpture. Mellors also plays bass guitar in the group Advanced Sportswear and is a co-founder of Junior Aspirin Records. He has exhibited widely, most recently at ICA, London (2011); KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin (2010); the Tate Triennial, London (2009); South London Gallery, London (2009); the Stedelijk Museum CS, Amsterdam (2008); and Matt’s Gallery, London (2004 and 2001).
