Jace Clayton
Jace Clayton, (b. Boston, Massachusetts) a.k.a. DJ/Rupture, is a Brooklyn-based interdisciplinary artist focusing on Latin America, Africa, and the Arab world. Major venues include The Whitney Museum, MoMA P.S. 1, The Apollo Theater, the Pitchfork Festival and Spain’s SONAR. Recent collaborators include guitarist Andy Moor (The Ex) and filmmaker Jem Cohen. His album Uproot was named one of the 10 Best Albums of 2008 by Pitchfork. Clayton regularly contributes to Frieze, The Fader, and The National and he has been an artist-in-residence with the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council and Eyebeam.
