Asli Çavuşoğlu (b. 1982, Istanbul, Turkey) is an Istanbul-based artist and writer whose work stems from experimental narrative exercises working around mechanisms of erasure, repetition, replicas, and narrative interplay. Recent exhibitions include We Have Woven the Motherlands with Nets of Iron, curated by Eric Gottesman & Toleen Touq, Amman; Qui admires-vous?, curated by Isabelle Le Normand and Florence Ostende, La Box, Bourges; Voices from silence –Truths Unveiled by Time, curated by Ilaria Gianni, Galerie Opdhal, Berlin; This Place Has No Size at All (2009), Kadist Art Foundation, Paris. The artists’ books she has produced include Takip/Poursuite (2006), Caiet De Geografie (2006), The Unsubscribed Llfe of Peter Böse (2007), In Patagonia after Bruce Chatwin (2009).
