Antonio Manuel (b.1947, Avelãs de Caminha, Portugal) began his career as an artist during the late 1960s in Rio de Janeiro where he currently lives and works. Major exhibitions include Pharos Center of Contemporary Art, Nicosia, Cyprus (2010); 29th Sao Paulo Biennial (2010), Camden Arts Center, London; Museo Del Barrio, New York; Serralves Foundation, Porto; Jeu de Paume, Paris.

||This discussion will include artist Antonio Manuel with Claudia Calirman and Gabriela Rangel, curators of his first solo exhibition in the U.S. Antonio Manuel: I Want to Act, Not Represent! currently on view at the Americas Society.
